Product:  ​Using your poetic grasp of language, you seek out the heart and soul of the American Dream. 
Create a poet's notebook that shows the American Dream. Your notebook includes samples of your poetry that shows how the "Dream" has been affected by time, cultural influences, and significant historical events.


Proceedure:

 

Step 1:  Answer the following questions using the links on the media center website

 

 

Research the first four questions.  Answer five based on this information.

• What is the American Dream?

• How has the American Dream changed over time?

• How have significant historical events affected the American Dream?

• How do diverse cultures view the American Dream?

• How will new opportunities of the 21st century both challenge and enhance the American Dream?

• What makes being a poet an effective medium for exploring the American Dream?

Step 2:  Once you have these questions answered choose ONE of the answers to represent in a Poet's notebookthat shows the American Dream.  These should be original poems that you have created.  Create these poems in 

the web 2.0 tool Glogster.
